The main part of the Indonesian meal is steamed rice " nasi". Accompanying the rice is usually dishes which may include one of a variety of meats and seafood, either boiled, steamed or fried.

The price range differes dramatically depending on the restuaurant and areaa you dine at. The price can range from US$1 up to and beyond US$100. Check out our 'restaurants by price' list, to find a restaurant that best suits you.

Note the following;

  • Most hotel restaurants are in the expensive bracket
  • Most restaurants besides hotel restaurants average 10,000 to 100,000 Rp. per person
