Here
are some guidelines to having a 'healthy' stay in
Bali. Please remember thesre are guidelines only.
You should consult with a certified Medical Doctor and check your
travel insurance for it's medical cover policy. |
| Do's
& Don'ts
- Do not drink Bali water!
- Drink bottled or purified water only and watch for ice
cubes too!
- Keep well hydrated to avoid Bali Belly.
- Ensure three good meals a day and drink lots of water
- Cut down on your consumption of alcohol.
- Avoid mosquito bites, as they transmit the malaria
disease.
- Wear long trousers, skirts, sleeves and socks to help
discourage bites, this is especially recommended after sunset.
- Use insect repellent on exposed skin and avoid
areas of still water.
- Don't forget to slip on a shirt, slop on sun screen and
slap on a hat - the Bali sun can burn you quickly.
- Ensure you are up to date with your regular
vaccinations ie Tetanus, Diphtheria, Polio and Hepatitis A
- Pack a mini first aid kit of band aids, antiseptic,
panadol etc.
