Vila Lumbung is located 5 km north-west of Legian/Kuta,
perfectly situated to enjoy your holiday in quietness
and tranquility, but only a 10 minutes inexpensive
taxi-ride away from the shopping and entertainment
places of this pulsing tourist center. A quiet beach
is about 800 meters away.
Description The
idea to build the Hotel Vila Lumbung originated from
the need to find the ideal place for close friends,
who make the long journey from the west, and who wish
to find the best accommodation with an exotic flair,yet
at an affordable price.
The Hotel Vila Lumbung (read the two "u"s
as in "luminary") is a small exotic village
surrounded by masterly designed tropical gardens of
approximately 15,000 square-meters.
The special shape of the grass-roof villas is derived
from the typical Balinese "Lumbung".
The upper part of this center hut of each family compound
serves as a rice barn, while the lower floor -an elevated
sitting area ("Balé")- is used as
a meeting place. We decided to transform this concept
into a unique design for our guest rooms. While the
dome-shaped grass roof-top of the upper floors conveys
a spacious and tropical feeling, the ground floor's
Balé is made into a cozy retreat next to the
lush gardens.

floor rooms, 14 deluxe rooftop floor rooms, and
2 deluxe villas with each 3 bedrooms, large living
area, kitchen and private garden. Built in typical
Balinese "Lumbung" style (read the two "u" as in
"luminary") with thatched grass roofs.

lobby, Restaurant and Shopping area are designed
to follow the "Lumbung"-concept; a large-scale
2-level swimming pool with a waterfall, cave,
island and bridges, bubble pool and connecting
lotus ponds fulfills everyone's fantasies. At
Restaurant Vila Lumbung a cozy, relaxed ambience
sets the mood for your dinner. As our guest, make
your dinner special by choosing whichever one
of the many corners of the grounds in which to
dine. Furthermore, you may prearrange with the
chef to compose a dinner set up with your preference
of seating, illumination, decoration, and dishes
that can be chosen from an extended event menu.
Stake out on the grassy pool island and watch
the moonlight turn the ragged clouds silver as
you await your meal. Sit cross-legged around a
low table in one of the Balés by the lotus
pond, or settle down in one of Vila Lumbung's
many other special pockets.
