Baruna Diving

General Information
Baruna has been established since 1978 as the first Diving Operator in Bali. It's backed up by experienced instructors and well trained staffs certified by international diving organization such as PADI, SSI and CMAS. Now we are in Lombok and ready to serve you for daily diving and snorkelling tri to famous Gili Islands. All of the dive sports have been studied throughly and surveyed by the exports. In order to fill your special requirements, you can arrange your dive tour according to your length of holidays.

All our available diving location are carefully selected based on through study and survey by the experts, well traveled and discerning divers commented that it ranks the best in the world. Bali has been patron God of the sea, Batara Baruna, who has opened the door to his wonderful underwater realm for us all joy.

Introductory Scuba
Baruna open the opportunity for those who would like to learn scuba diving, started with theory and pool training, then experience your first open water dive, at Sanur/Nusa Dua.


Menjangan Island Located at West Bali National Park, about 120 Km or 3 hours drive from Denpasar. Go by boat about 30 minutes from the main land. The bottom composition is wall, soft corals, vegetations like black corals, gorgonian, etc.An aquatic and plant life as bat fishes etc, may be seen here. Visibility is about 10 - 30 meters with minimum current. Maximum depth is 30 m. Also recommended for snorkelers.	Eric Borneman, 2000
Sanur Dives at 5 to 12 meters depth will be rewarded by beautiful underwater panoramas. Gigantic table and trophy shaped corals and sponges grow on her miles long barrier reef. Thousands of colorful fishes swim by kaleidoscopic profusion.	Eric Borneman, 2000
Tulamben Located about 110 Km (2 hours 50 minutes) north east of Denpasar, you can sit back and enjoy your ride through the idyllic Balinese countryside. On location you will see the remains of a U.S. merchant ship sunk during World War II. The wreck is fully grown over with all kinds of corals, gorgonians and anemones. An aquatic animal and plant life as garden eels, stingrays, parrot fishes, jack fishes and trigger fishes, etc. are abundant. The wreck is located about 20 m off shore, with maximum depth of 25 meters. Dive type is shore dive. The bottom composition is sandy bottom, visibility 10 to 30 meters. Tulamben Wall Located about 2 km south off the wreck or 10 minutes by car. The dive type is shore dive with drop off corals, the marine and plant life are similar with Menjangan island. Maximum depth 30 m. Visibility 10 m to 20 m. Bottom composition is sandy bottom with less current. Also a good spot for snorkeling.	Eric Borneman, 2000
Amed This rich and varied dive site hosts a wide range of fish and coral species. Dive from shore towards the eastern point of the bay, or use a local fishing outrigger. The fish life is vivid. Dogtooth tuna and Napoleon wrasse are among the many big species that may be seen.	Eric Borneman, 2000
Gili Tepekong Located about 60 km north east of Denpasar. This picturesque bay surrounded by majestic cliffs and hills, ideal for dives at 5 to 20 meters deep. The waters are strewn with full grown of corals, and fishes, which will surely guarantee an impressive underwater adventure.	Eric Borneman, 2000
Nusa Dua Located about 15 km or 30 minutes from the international Airport, here you may conduct short dive. It takes 10 minutes by boat to the nearest dive site with maximum depth of 12 Meters. Anemone fish, triggerfish, Moorish idol, Moray eel, Butterfly, Boxfish, Surgeonfish etc. are seen here. Visibility 7 to 15 Meters. Bottom composition is soft corals reef and sandy bottom, less current. This area is also good for snorkeling.	Eric Borneman, 2000
Nusa Penida It takes about 2 hours drive to Padangbai ferry harbor and about 1 hour by boat from Padangbai to Nusa Penida, an island located east of Bali. Dive type is drift dive with currents up to 4 knots. Visibility only good down to 15 meters. Maximum depth 30 meters. This spot is recommended for experience divers only. Reef type, steep slopes and drop offs. Fishes : sweetlips, turtles, mantas, sharks and by luck "mola mola"	Eric Borneman, 2000
Secret Bay Located about 130 Km, about 3 hours drive, north west of Denpasar close to the ferry harbor to Java island. Shore dive or boat dive from the main land to the dive point. Bottom composition is mud and corals with maximum depth 10 meters. Visibility 3 to 7 meters only. You will find among others scorpion fishes, blennies, angle fishes, frog fishes, nudibranch, etc. Note: This area is recommended for under water "macro" photographer only.
